• Holidays

After the holidays we will be switching to a new blog. You have all been invited to join this blog so please do do as we will be uploading homework there rather than here. Thanks!

    Hi all,

Just a few ideas for things you could do over the holidays to keep everyone's minds working!

Reading - continue reading as much as possible! It would be really good if the children could have a go at reading some different kinds of books (non-fiction, poems, magazines, comics) anything that is different to what they would usually read. If you could also ask them questions about what they are reading to make sure they understand, that would be great.

Writing - We are starting to write plays in class so perhaps you could write a play as a family. Work together to think about things that each family member would say or do. We haven't explored plays much just yet so it doesn't matter how it is set out - this isn't to be marked, it's just for practice!

Maths - We have been doing multiplication in class and it is clear to see that some children still don't know their times tables at all. This is really important so if you could please practice these over the break that would be great. Some children are excellent at their tables but they need to practice their addition. We have covered addition in class and they should all know how to do it but many of them seem to have forgotten!

As always, it is the holidays and I don't expect any work to be done. This is just if you are looking for activities to do. It is important to have a break and get out for some adventures!

    Enjoy,
    Hollie
